We are all Unique!

This month's theme is Uniqueness and we're celebrating everything that comes with it. That includes how unique our children are, how unique animals are and (need I say it?) how unique the Happy Book Club is!

This month, and in 2017 generally, we'll be trying EVEN harder to supply you with rarer, more wonderful books than ever before. This month we are extremely proud to be supplying books from a new publisher Gull and Buoy and a small publisher that celebrates diversity in their authors, Lantana Publishing.

Both of these books are beautifully written and illustrated and, should you be sensible enough to subscribe to our packages, you should be receiving at least one of these any moment now! My hope being that as you read this sentence, it drops through your letterbox... now.

Whilst firmly on the subjects of uniqueness and publishers we have decided to cut ties with Simon and Schuster for their endorsement and book deal with controversial writer, Milo Yiannopoulos. We believe in displaying morals and acting upon them, which is why we are proud to be bringing families together, donating to charity and supporting smaller publishers. To read more about their book deal and we want to distance ourselves from them, please read here.

Meanwhile, if you want to crack on with doing some Uniqueness activities, subscribers will find a wee pack of ideas sent with their books as well as a mirror (why not?!). For everyone else, do check our glorious Pinterest page. Hopefully you'll appreciate that I didn't load it with random activity suggestions in the hope that you'll interpret it as 'unique' despite my temptation to do so. Saying that, please do subscribe as we regularly update our pages with new, fun activities to try out.

Anyway, that'll do for now, me thinks. Time for a cup of tea.

Stay tuned for more Unique book suggestions, details on our related Charity, Oxfam, and lots more cool activity suggestions.

Matt, Adele and Esme.
