#Top5Friday Podcasts about books!

Here's a slightly belated entry for our famous Top 5 Friday! You will no doubt be pleased to know that #Top5Friday will be returning weekly from the 31st March at our usual Friday 8pm slot in time for International Children's Book Day, which is on the 2nd. So why not share your favourite International Children's book with us then using the hashtag #top5friday.

But for now, here are our Top 5 Booky Podcasts. If you're not a regular podcast listener, they're a fantastic, usually very entertaining way to fill car journeys or walks etc. So why not downlaod a few and try them out and, better still, why not check out these ones specifically on children's books! There are lots of ways of listening to podcasts but I personally downloaded the app 'Podcast Addict' where you'll find practically everything you'll ever want to listen to!

Number 1 - Read Aloud Revival

Not only are the podcasts really informative but the lists that Sarah MacKenzie provides are thoughtful and thorough! So check out her website also!

Number 2 - Down the Rabbit Hole

There aren't many British podcasts on kid's literature but this is an awesome one. In the podcasts they chat about all things book as well as get some fantastic guests (guests you've actually heard of!) to come on the show and chat about their books etc. Lovely stuff.

Number 3 - Kid Lit Drink Night

A bit of fun. Grab a drink and enjoy the ramblings of Kid Lit Drink Night as they discuss their favourite children's books!

Number 4 - Kid Lit Podcast

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Kid Lit Radio discuss all things kid lit. The reason I particularly like this podcast though is that they have a few readings of some classic stories, which are perfect for car rides! Our daughter likes The Golden Goose!

Number 5 - All the Wonders

A sweet little theme song, a wonderful website full of activities and extensions and well over 300 episodes. Lots of in-depth author interviews too for the super book nerds out there!
