#Top5Friday - Books About Kindness
Earlier this week it was #bookgiving day. Today (Friday) it's #randomactsofkindnessday. Might as well make 'Kindness' our #top5friday topic!
And for those of you who sensibly stay clear of any hashtag tomfoolery, all you need to know is that below we have our list of top 5 kids books that celebrate kindness followed by some extra participation from other Twitterers.
As always, feel free to add your own comments on our community page, on any of our social media pages or, better still (although slightly unrelated) buy one of our monthly packages. You know, to celebrate kindness...
1. Little Blue Truck by Alice Schertle and Jill McElmurry
'Now I see a lot depends on a helping hand from a few good friends'
2. On Sudden Hill by Linda Sarah and Benji Davies
'Birt likes Shu. Shu is kind. Shu is funny. Shu is daring and brave.'
3. Smartest Giant in Town by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler
'So here is a very fine crown, to go with the sandals and gown, of the kindest giant in town.'
4. Horton Hears a Who by Dr. Seuss
'"My friend," came the voice, "you're a very fine friend. You've helped all us folks on this dust speck no end."'
5. The Way Back Home by Oliver Jeffers
'They said goodbye and thanked each other for their help'
And here are some incredibly brilliant extra suggestions. Thank you so much to all that contributed!
Next week it's our last #top5friday until April. Keep them wanting more and all. We'll be sharing our top 5 podcasts about kids books! Thought we'd make it a difficult one!
See you then!
