#Top5Friday - Top 5 Books of 2016

We're doing it. We're starting a new hashtag. And it feels good.

Every Friday, we're going to release a Top 5 something-or-other and it will be an opportunity to share. We'll share with you our thoughts. You share your thoughts. Hopefully lots of sharing, generally. Lovely sharing.

So this week, about 13 days overdue, we're showcasing our favourite books of 2016, which, by the way, is pretty much impossible. Apparently there are a LOT of picture books out there.

1. The Bear and the Piano - David Litchfield

Gorgeous, enchanting, poignant, sublime.

The Darkest Dark - Chris Hadfield

It's written by an astronaut! It has to be in the top 5! Provoking, fascinating, wonderful.

Hoot Owl - Master of Disguise - Sean Taylor

Funny for adults and children. Cheeky, witty and bold.

The River - An Epic Journey To The Sea - Hanako Clulow

Beautiful words to match the beautiful illustrations.

Nibbles - The Book Monster - Emma Yarlett

Funny, cheeky and excellent, imaginative pictures.

Next Friday (20th January) we'll be discussing our top 5 end-pages. And if you reading about books isn't enough, check out our amazing packages, where you can get awesome, themed book packages sent to your door every month along with a little gift and a charity donation.

See you next time!
