Hello and welcome back.
December is here and you know what that means... a new Happy Book Club theme! This month's theme is sharing and in this blog we'll be sharing with you what we've included. We'll also kick off, like we do every month, with a couple of related ideas to get you started and, if you haven't already considered Christmas presents yet, we might also subtly suggest our specific Christmas package - the perfect gift for little ones. And by subtle, I mean providing this link:CHRISTMAS PACKAGE! and a photo of my daughter last Christmas after receiving The Happy Book Club Package!*

Anyway here are the books that we included in this month's package. Those vigilant amongst you will notice that this month there was a choice of THREE possible books. We really aim to make our books appropriate for all children and because December saw a large influx of custom, we tried particularly hard to accommodate for every Happy Book Clubber.

You will find a review to all these books on our Previous Packages page. Unless, that is, if you check immediately. Because that's the next thing on my to-do list. Give me a chance, yeah?
Our special deliveries also included some cookie cutters so that our happy book clubbers can do some baking. A great opportunity to share some ingredients, responsibilities, gingerbread and quality time!
This month's associated charity is FareShare. In all honesty, we hadn't heard of them prior to creating this month's offering, but we are so glad we did. For every package sold next month, we donate money to them. Please do check out their website and thank you to any one who has already subscribed.
And finally, the activities. Our subscribers will already have an activity sheet with plenty of suggestions but to those who are delaying the inevitable subscription, here's a small Pinterest board to dip your feet into.
Sharing was not the easiest thing to come up with activities for but it turns out we do a lot more than we think. Today for instance, my wife and I had a lovely day with our daughter. We painted, we went to a park, had nice food, made chocolate biscuits, camped out in her little tent (my daughter's, not my wife's), and, of course we did some reading. I mean if you ask her what she did she would probably say 'Had a carrot' but still, it was enriching. That's what we tell ourselves. Anyway, I got thinking that all day we have been sharing our food, sharing paintbrushes, sharing hugs but, most of all, we've been sharing our time. So if you can't think of many things to do with your little one that relate to sharing, just be with them. Because an opportunity to play and share with mummy, daddy, grandparents or friends is surely the best sharing they can do?
Right, I should write those reviews now. Hang on. A nice beer. Then reviews.
Until next time.
Cheers.
