These sorts of books are becoming more and more popular, after the best-selling 'Press Here' proved so popular. The reader is encouraged to tap the pages initially to encourage leaves to grow (which they do as you turn the page) but the actions get more involved and fun as the book progresses. A really lovely, enjoyable read.
The Star Tree by Catherine Hyde

Just a wonderful, bedtime book about a little girl who sets off to find a magical tree. The story is rich with fantasy, as magical animals help her on her journey and the words flow like lyrics. The illustrations top this book off t make it a book that everyone should read with their little ones.
We Planted a Tree by Diane Muldrow and Bob Staake

The message in this one is loud and clear. Appreciate trees, people! Done in a tasteful and nurturing way, this book follows two families and their experiences as they plant their own trees. Lovely concept that could inspire a family to do the same. A great book for discussion.
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr, John Archambault and Lois Ehlert

A very popular book and for good reason. We bought the hardback version for our little one as it's a great way to introduce babies and toddlers to the alphabet. The story follows the letter 'a' climbing up a coconut tree, only for the rest of the letters to follow up after it. Let's just say it ends in complications. It may be worth warning that although it's excellent, the rhyming doesn't always suit the English pronunciation. Aunts and pants don't rhyme where I'm from.
Albert's Tree by Jenni Desmond

A unique, heart-warming story about Albert the Bear's favourite tree. With themes of caring and friendship, this is a book that can be appreciated by all children. Jenni Desmond is really paving her way in to the illustration world having produced incredible drawings now for Albert's Tree, The Polar Bear and The Blue Whale (amongst others). Although not tree related, worth checking out!
