Other Fishy Books For Your Little Ones!
As you know, this month's theme is 'Fish'. Although we love the books we've sent out this month there were others that made the shortlist. If you get a chance, check these out.
Our books:
The River - An Epic Journey to the Sea by Patricia Hegarty and Hanako Clulow
Little Whale - A Fishy Tale by Joshua George and Puy Pinillos
The Ones You May Have Missed
The Pout-Pout Fish by Deborah Diesen and Dan Hannah
A New York Times bestseller, this classic tells the story of a fish that starts of particularly grumpy but who eventually finds his smile. Now a series - well worth reading!
The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister and J.Alison James
So much love for this book on Pinterest! Also a favourites with primary school teachers. This book comes in a variety of forms and is lovely in all of them!
Tiddler by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler
Of course there's a fish book by Julia Donaldson! As always a rhythmic, fun, colourful story that will no doubt engage a whole host of readers.
One Smart Fish by Chris Wormell
Winner of Booktrust Early Years Award 2010, and deservedly so, a beautiful with a strong evolutionary message. This would be rated 5 star on Amazon if not for people who write things like 'I'm not a big fan of evolution'! Still, a really lovely story, well worth a read with 3-5 year olds.
Barry the Fish with Fingers by Sue Hendra
We love this book! Funny and endearing. Sue Hendra does a great job at making a fish with fish finger fingers surprisingly likeable.
