Julia Donaldson is surely the most prolific and successful picture book writer, writing now. Still though, we think this is one of her finest. It's set apart from her usual stories. It's a sincere book about the beauty of motherhood and the passing on of a tradition to one's daughter. The book is made even sweeter by Cobb's innocent illustrations too. A provoking, loving book that should be read!
